Cookieless inline surveys!
2025 brings plenty of challenges around electronic communications law, EU regulations, and directives that place requirements and restrictions on the technical implementation of user research. That is why we are introducing support for running inline surveys, including Findability, without cookies.
We have also released a range of fixes and improvements.
1.0 Inline surveys without cookies

With cookieless support, you can ask all visitors questions, whether or not they have accepted cookies on your website. Cookieless mode now works for inline surveys, but not for regular pop-up surveys that follow visitors as they browse and avoid appearing again to the same person.
Cookieless mode supports the following survey types:
- Inline survey – The survey is embedded alongside the rest of your page content. You can use any Skyra question card type in an inline survey.
- Findability – Our solution for asking "Did you find what you were looking for?", often shown at the bottom of a page.
- Triggered pop-up (coming in Q2 2025)
A pop-up that appears only when a specific action takes place, such as clicking a feedback button or visiting a particular URL on your website.
What happens if a visitor does not give consent?
Without consent, only inline surveys, including Findability, will work. Pop-up surveys will not appear, and no cookies will be set.
Can consent status change dynamically?
Yes! If a visitor initially declines consent but later accepts cookies, pop-up surveys can then be shown to them.

Note: A developer needs to configure cookieless mode on the website where it will be used.
2.0 Fixes and improvements
- Improved exports, particularly for large datasets. The previous export could crash as a survey approached 100,000 responses. Exports are now generated asynchronously, and you receive a notification when they are ready to download.
- Added automatic matching against Public Suffix List (PSL) domains when Skyra determines the correct domain for a cookie.
- Fixed a bug in the custom date filter that excluded the end date from results.
- Fixed a pagination issue on the last page of Recruitment.
- When
Show survey again after completed/rejectedwas set toImmediately, the smart script did not respect the setting because it limits how often surveys can appear. This is now fixed, so a survey can genuinely reappear immediately. We recommend using this only on internal pages. - New UI for creating survey rules

- We are working on a larger improvement here, and this is an early sign of the changes to come.
- Rules will become easier to use while also gaining more capabilities.
- Fixed many small visual issues.
